From first glance, Peter Ferry looks like a nice young man with bright eyes and a warm smile. Look deeper and you will find a 23-year-old who has wowed audiences with his deep introspective heart and mind. He is best known as a solo percussionist reshaping the way audiences experience classical music.

During Peter’s time spent studying at the Eastman School of Music, he collected high honors – including the John Beck Percussion Scholarship and Performers Certificate. These honors, paired with his vigor and passion for the art of percussion has led him to deeply move anyone who listens.

Ferry has graced the TEDX stage with a talk on collaboration, interdisciplinary performance and a holistic listening experience. Titled Striking the Edge, Ferry shows his forward thinking performances and his interest in immersive sound.

He is currently living in Chicago and most recently received the Post Graduate Fellowship from the Eastman School of Music with Alarm Will Sound for the 2013-2014 season. He can be found touring across the United State; hitting cities like New York, Providence and Baltimore.
