Niall Quirk is one of the most inspiring equestrian coaches in the world. He is a Trainer of Trainers and has worked with equestrian coaches all across Europe, the U.S. and in South Africa. Niall also coaches riders of all levels up to the elite level of international competition including the European, World, and Olympic levels.
An aspect of his work that gives him great satisfaction is working with amateur riders who want to take their skills to the highest levels. What separates Niall from the rest is that he is not just a coach but also a teacher. His intrinsic qualities of keen insight, perception, confidence, and good judgment play a key role in making a rider. His core principals of communication, connection, engagement, participation and accomplishment put it all together.
Niall has a true passion for his craft, and instills this in the rider horse partnership. A rewarding aspect of his training methods is observing how the horse’s way of going is increasingly happy and comfortable. A former Irish National Dressage Grand Prix Champion, representing Ireland, Niall has successfully made the transition from rider to coach.
Niall coaches riders in all three Olympic disciplines including Dressage and Three-Day Eventing and he specializes in flatwork training for show jumpers from basic training to international levels.
He was the first civilian coach to be employed by the Irish Army Equitation School, a riding institution run by the Irish Government and renowned throughout the world.
